That’s right, we did it!
In a field of around 100 local web design companies vying for that elusive first page rank on Google we’ve done it! Search ‘web design tauranga‘, or ‘website design tauranga‘ and we’ve established ourselves as a front runner.
Now you may be thinking “what’s the big deal, you’re an SEO company as well right? Isn’t that a given?”. The answer to that is it’s absolutely not a given and it is a big deal!
We’ve been ranking for easy terms like ‘mobile apps tauranga’ and the like since inception. But the ‘web design’ keyword group is a particularly competitive term and you really need to be on top of your game to snatch one of the top spots.
No black hat tactics were used, only above board Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques were employed as usual.
We’re very proud of this accomplishment because we’re here battling it out with some very smart cookies, so every little win counts. Tauranga is full of bright designers and web design companies so being able to grab a top spot like this is a great achievement.
When we first started monitoring we were on Google page 50, then page 40, 30…..and finally we made it into the top 5. With such stiff competition, that alone was an accomplishment. But low and behold today we checked and we’re ranking near the top of page 1. Woohoo!
We couldn’t beleive it at first so we quadruple checked on multiple browsers and in remote locations, and surely enough there we were. We never doubted our SEO prowess, but some of the companies we’re now beating have been operating for over a decade in the region. If you’ve read any of our info on SEO you’ll know that domain age along with a huge number of other factors effects page rank, so this was a very pleasant surprise indeed.
